ReCon is an operational device‑tracking and reconciliation application used by supervisors, technicians, and volunteers. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

2. Information We Collect

ReCon collects only the information required to support device reconciliation workflows.

•  Camera Data:
Used exclusively for barcode scanning and optional face‑based login. Camera frames are processed in real time and are not stored.
•  Face Login Data (Optional):
If enabled, ReCon generates a mathematical face embedding for authentication. This embedding is stored securely on the device or server depending on the organization’s configuration. ReCon does not store photos or raw video.
•  Barcode and Device Information:
Scanned barcodes, device identifiers, room numbers, and reconciliation data are stored as part of the operational workflow.
•  User Account Information:
Name, role (volunteer, supervisor, admin), and login credentials or face‑login embedding.
•  App Usage Logs:
Basic operational logs may be collected to ensure system reliability and security.

ReCon does not collect personal contact information, location data, or financial information.

3. How Information Is Used

•  To authenticate users (password or face‑based login)
•  To process barcode scans and update reconciliation records
•  To provide real‑time supervisor dashboards
•  To maintain audit trails for operational accuracy
•  To improve system performance and reliability

ReCon does not sell, share, or use data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

•  All data is stored using secure, organization‑controlled servers or encrypted local storage.
•  Face embeddings are encrypted and cannot be reverse‑engineered into images.
•  Camera data is processed locally and never uploaded.
•  Access to admin‑level actions is protected by authentication.

5. Data Retention

Operational data is retained according to the policies of the organization using ReCon. Users may request deletion of their account or face‑login data through their administrator.

6. Third‑Party Sharing

ReCon does not share data with third parties except:

•  When required by the organization using the app
•  When required by law or security obligations

ReCon does not use third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs.

7. Children’s Privacy

ReCon is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your organization’s policies, you may request:

•  Access to your stored data
•  Correction of inaccurate information
•  Removal of your face‑login embedding
•  Account deletion

Requests must be made through your organization’s administrator.
